Mendelssohn's Elijah, Berwick Parish Church, January 2019

Sadly, along with most other choirs, we are still unable to meet in person.

We will let you know as soon as the situation changes.

Berwick Arts Choir is a friendly, mixed voice choir of around sixty members based in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland.

We enjoy singing a varied repertoire of major choral works from Bach to Britten.

Our musical season starts in September and ends in April / May, and we normally give two concerts a year with professional soloists and musicians.

We are sad to announce that our performance of Handel's Messiah on 25th April has been postponed. Please visit our Concerts page for more information.

Berwick Arts Choir relies on the support of its Friends to secure top-quality soloists and musicians for every concert, in turn securing the Choir's reputation.

If you want to support traditional choral music in your community please consider becoming a Friend.

Choral singing is both healing and life-affirming, which is why I look forward to my weekly dose of Berwick Arts Choir.

It is here that I find good music which, on occasion, challenges me in a good way, as well as friendship in the company of like-minded people.

As a newcomer to the choir (and to Berwick) I was made very welcome and given the help I needed to feel confident in singing with a choir again for the first time in many years.

The conductor has a nice way of encouraging us to achieve the best of which we are capable.

Choral singing gives immense exhilaration and satisfaction. In my 50+ years of membership of BAC I have learned much beautiful music, met many nice people, and made some very good friends.

Newcomers are warmly welcomed.
